Book to Action

The Book-to-Action program is a variation of the traditional library book group. It offers participants not only the opportunity to collectively read and discuss a book but also to put their newfound knowledge into action by engaging in a community service project or activity related to the book's topic. 

For the 2022 Book to Action program, the Lake County Library selected The Blue Zones of Happiness by Dan Buettner. The Blue Zones of Happiness explores the surprising secrets of what makes the world's happiest places-- and shows you how to apply these lessons to your own life.

Get your free copy of the book, Blue Zones of Happiness, from any branch of the Lake County Library starting in April, and then join in the events and discussions going on throughout the month! Books are available only while supplies last, but if you aren't able to get your hands on a free copy, you can still check out the book, ebook, audiobook, or downloadable audiobook from the library by clicking here to search our library catalog.
